Train Hits Woman In Fresno; Woman Lives! | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
A woman is recovering at the hospital after being hit by an Amtrak train in Central Fresno.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Blackstone and Home. That's near Fresno City College.
Fresno Police say the woman may have been listening to music on headphones and could not hear the approaching train or loud horn as she walked near the tracks.
"The woman suffered a glancing blow as the train went by, and was conscious and breathing as emergency personnel arrived on scene," said Lt. Burke Farrah.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene. She was then taken to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
The train was delayed for about an hour. No passengers were hurt, Lt. Farrah said.
